Music Appreciation
Music Appreciation is a year-long, non-performance-based course that explores music as an expressive art form shaped by historical, cultural, and social forces. Students will develop critical listening skills, analyze musical elements, and examine major musical traditions from Western music to global and contemporary styles. Through listening, discussion, writing, and creative projects, students will build an informed appreciation of music’s role around the globe.
